CASTING

The Mum - the mum begins the video off by explaining the superstition of the video; if you smash a mirror, you'll get 7 years bad luck. Our team wanted to keep the video realistic, and therefore, this is why this explanation has come from a motherly figure as we felt that would happen in a day to day life.

The Young Girl - at the beginning of the video, the little girl hears her mum telling her about the mirror, however, she did not listen. Then years on, the girl smashes the mirror and realises she should've listened to her mum after all. We chose to do a video of the girl making mistakes because we feel that many children this girls age can relate to her. Doing this, allows the audience/ viewers to engage in the video.

The Stranger - the stranger has a very small part to play in this video. They represent the majority of the youth population: independent and technology orientated. It also emphasises the fact that its not always the people you know that can ruin your day.

LOCATION

A field - puts emphasis on the fact that she is lost and her mind is all over the place. As its an open field, she is seeking a clear open mind. It also emphasises the distance she is away from home. 

The streets - she is surround by lots of other people who are clueless about each others life's Everyone is content with their own loves. The little girl also grew up in these streets so she is familiar with them as it reminds her of her own childhood and upbringing. 

The park - the park reminds her of her youth when life was trouble-free and when she had no worries or responsibilities.

DECISION MAKING

Our group agreed to produce a video on the subjects we did because we felt that we could make the audience relate and engage in the video very well. For example, many men and women go to the salon which is why we included the things we did in our video. We decided on the order of events we chose because we felt it was more chronicle than any other order. We also decided on the events that occurs in the video because its thrilling and will get the audience to sit on the edge of their seats without even realising.
