POST 25: Working from a script 6. Sound

(POST TWENTY-FIVE)

SOUND

With the sound for our scene I began by thinking about the setting of our scene and what sounds might be linked with those stages of the scene. For example, with the scene that was set in the forest I thought of many different sounds that linked to a woodland, such as: birds chirping, rustles in leaves and a light breeze blowing threw the trees. When Isabel who played Lucy was walking through the woods I thought that it couldn't stay silent and we needed to possibly have music playing to emphasise the curiosity and wonder of Lucy.

This print screen shows how the audio from one clip has been dragged to cover two different clips, to do this I had to make sure that the audio from the second clip had been deleted so that the audio merged nicely. The first step had been to detach the audio so it could easily be moved around.
